Main Duty
Legal basis
The Korean Education Center in Ho Chi Minh City carries out the following functions under Articles 28 and 29 of the Act on Educational Support for Korean Nationals Residing Abroad.
Dissemination of the Korean language, support for the educational activities of Korean community schools (Hangeul schools for the children of overseas Koreans), counselling and support for Korean students abroad, support for activities to attract international students to Korea, and support for other Korean educational activities overseas.
What we do

Korean language courses
Level-based Korean language courses run by the center.

Visiting Korean classes
Bringing classes to learners who cannot attend the center in person because of time or distance.

Intermediate and advanced TOPIK courses
Courses at the intermediate and advanced levels of the TOPIK examination.

Support for Korean in primary and secondary schools
Support for Korean language and culture classes and for training and retraining teachers.

Support for Korean studies departments
Support for faculty research capacity and Korean cultural events.

Support for attracting international students
Promoting training programmes in Korea, supporting selection, and providing opportunities to earn a degree in Korea.
